Authorities arrested three alleged high-value drug personalities and seized more than P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pulang Lupa Uno, Las Piñas City on Thursday night.
The operation was conducted near the parking area of a fast-food establishment inside the Villar Sipag Compound.
Police identified the suspects only through their aliases as “Emer,” 48; “Jerick,” 34; and “Leonardo,” 51.
Seized from the suspects were around 200 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of over P1.3 million. Authorities also recovered an Android mobile phone, a white envelope, one genuine P1,000 bill, and 99 pieces of boodle money used in the buy-bust.
Police classified the three suspects as high-value individuals allegedly involved in illegal drug activities.
Investigators said alias Emer will face a complaint for violation of Section 5 of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which penalizes the sale of illegal drugs.
Aliases Jerick and Leonardo, meanwhile, will face complaints for violations of Sections 11 and 26 in relation to Section 5 of the same law, covering possession of dangerous drugs and conspiracy to commit drug-related offenses.
The suspects remain under police custody while authorities prepare the complaints for filing before the Las Piñas City Prosecutor’s Office.
Police said the operation is part of continuing efforts to curb illegal drugs and dismantle drug networks operating in the city.
