The Taguig City government continues to carry out regular clean-up operations along the Taguig River as part of its ongoing efforts to rehabilitate and protect the city’s major waterways.
According to the city government, the clean-up activities are being conducted through the Lake and River Management Office (LRMO), which regularly deploys personnel to remove waste and debris from sections of the river. The initiative aims to improve water quality, prevent pollution, and help maintain the ecological health of the waterway.
The city said the clean-up operations form a key part of its broader environmental management program focused on preserving rivers and lakes that play an important role in the local ecosystem and surrounding communities.
“Regular clean-up operations along the Taguig River continue as part of the ongoing rehabilitation and protection of the city’s major waterways,” the Taguig City government, through the LRMO, said in a statement.
Alongside the clean-up efforts, city officials continue to appeal to residents to take an active role in protecting local waterways by practicing proper waste disposal and helping keep their surroundings clean.
The local government emphasized that public cooperation remains essential in preventing trash and other pollutants from ending up in rivers and lakes, which can contribute to flooding, environmental degradation, and water contamination.
Taguig City reiterated its commitment to environmental stewardship and encouraged residents to support ongoing conservation efforts to ensure cleaner and healthier waterways for future generations.
