House Resumes Four-Day Onsite Work Schedule

The House of Representatives will return to its regular onsite work schedule beginning June 1, according to an advisory issued by the chamber’s Human Resources Management Service.

The advisory said House officials and employees will again report onsite from Monday to Thursday, reverting to the original regular work arrangement of the lower chamber.

“Reference to the Secretary General Memorandum dated 26 May 2026, HRep officials and employees shall report on-site from Monday to Thursday, thus reverting to their regular work schedule, effective 01 June 2026,” the advisory read.

Under the regular schedule, employees of the House Secretariat will report for duty from 8 am to 7 pm, Monday to Thursday.

The House earlier implemented a work-from-home arrangement amid rising petroleum prices to help employees manage transportation costs.

Under that setup, personnel reported onsite only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during recess or break periods, while Mondays and Thursdays were designated as work-from-home days.

During session days, employees followed a three-day onsite schedule from Monday to Wednesday, with Thursday reserved for remote work.

The June 1 directive formally restores the chamber’s pre-adjustment work schedule and requires employees to return to onsite duty for the full Monday-to-Thursday workweek.
