GCash, TransferGo Ease OFW Remittances

GCash has partnered with Europe-based money transfer service TransferGo to make remittances faster, safer, and more affordable for overseas Filipinos and migrants sending funds to the Philippines.

Through the partnership, TransferGo users in the United Kingdom and across Europe can now send money directly to any GCash wallet, giving recipients immediate access to financial support.

The collaboration aims to address common challenges faced by overseas Filipino workers, including slow transfer times, unclear charges, and limited payout options.

Once received through GCash, funds may be used for bills payment, online purchases, cash withdrawals, and other financial services available within the app.

GCash International general manager Arjun Varma said the partnership strengthens the company’s global remittance network while helping families receive money quickly and securely.

“This partnership strengthens GCash’s international remittance network and ensures that Filipino families get their funds quickly, safely, and conveniently,” Varma said.

He added that GCash remains focused on financial inclusion and on giving Filipinos, whether in the country or abroad, better tools to manage their money.

For TransferGo, the partnership expands its payout options in Southeast Asia and gives Filipino users in Europe another reliable channel for sending money home.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing our customers with more opportunities to stay connected with family and friends,” said TransferGo chief executive and co-founder Daumantas Dvilinskas.

He said the company will continue offering affordable, fast, and reliable money transfer solutions for the Filipino diaspora.

GCash said the partnership supports its broader “Finance for All” vision by helping Filipinos worldwide access essential financial services and support their families with greater ease and security.
