Three Wanted Persons Nabbed in Coordinated, Multi-Region Manhunt

The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) arrested three wanted individuals in separate intelligence-driven operations conducted across Leyte, Nueva Ecija, and Bataan on June 15, 2026, as part of continuing efforts to track fugitives and support the enforcement of outstanding warrants.

In Inopacan, Leyte, operatives of the Leyte Norte Provincial Highway Patrol Team, in coordination with local police, arrested a 35-year-old male wanted for violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602, which covers illegal gambling activities.

In a separate operation in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, authorities apprehended a 41-year-old woman facing estafa charges following a coordinated manhunt by the provincial highway patrol team.

Meanwhile, in Limay, Bataan, joint personnel from the Bataan Highway Patrol Team and municipal police arrested a 27-year-old woman wanted for falsification of public documents under Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code.

Police said all arrested individuals were properly informed of their constitutional rights during the implementation of warrants. Authorities also used Alternative Recording Devices in compliance with Supreme Court guidelines on warrant execution procedures.

PNP-HPG Director Police Brig. Gen. Rommel Batangan commended the operating units, citing the importance of sustained intelligence gathering and inter-unit coordination in locating wanted persons.

“These successful arrests demonstrate the value of intelligence-driven operations, close coordination among police units, and persistent monitoring of wanted individuals,” Batangan said. He added that such efforts support the broader campaign to strengthen law enforcement and ensure that fugitives are brought before the courts.

The HPG said it will continue its focused operations nationwide, working with local police units to locate and apprehend individuals with outstanding warrants as part of its contribution to the PNP’s anti-criminality campaign.
