Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) recorded zero dropped calls during the latest real-world quality-of-service drive tests conducted by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) in Metro Manila, demonstrating the stability of its voice network.
The NTC evaluation confirmed that Smart achieved an average call drop ratio of zero percent, easily passing the regulatory standard requiring a rate below 2 percent.
During the same series of tests, Smart registered peak mobile broadband speeds of 377 Mbps along San Francisco Street in Mandaluyong City, according to NTC records.
Smart stated that it maintains its commitment to collaborating with the regulatory body to resolve localized network concerns while advancing overall infrastructure quality and subscriber experience.
“Our zero-percent call drop ratio in the latest NTC tests is a positive result for voice-call reliability. We remain committed to working closely with the NTC to assess network performance, address areas for improvement, and deliver a more dependable mobile experience for our customers,” Debbie Hu, first vice president and head of Network Build and Implementation at PLDT and Smart said.
Smart also highlighted performance metrics from the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) September 2026 Oplan Bantay Signal report, which provides an independent evaluation of national mobile connectivity.
The DICT report showed Smart maintaining a “Good” overall network rating with a score of 80.3 and an average download speed of 52.22 Mbps, positioning it as the top-performing mobile network under the assessment. Smart further logged zero crisis cities nationwide for the fifth straight month, as every evaluated city registered speeds above 15 Mbps.
In addition to state regulatory reports, global connectivity intelligence firm Ookla awarded Smart for delivering the Best Mobile Video Experience in the Philippines for the first half of 2026, where it posted a nationwide high Video Score of 72.82 among local mobile operators.
