Reina Mercedes, Isabela Vice Mayor Jeryll Harold Respicio underwent a drug test at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City on Wednesday, heeding the public challenge issued by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
Respicio posted the official medical report on his Facebook page, confirming a negative result for illegal drug use.
” Boss Jonvic, eto na po ang results,” Respicio said, sharing a photo of the drug test report online.
Alongside the medical clearance, the local official posted an official receipt showing he paid P28,011 for the extensive drug-screening procedure.
” Jonvic, irefund mko. Ang mahal ng drug test,” Respicio also said.
The public exchange stemmed from Remulla’s call for the vice mayor to undergo drug testing following a viral video showing Respicio engaging in a heated confrontation with local officials during a Sangguniang Bayan session.
