The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) arrested three wanted persons, including a carnapping suspect and individuals linked to falsification and estafa cases, during separate operations in Batangas, North Cotabato and Davao del Norte.

In Kidapawan City, North Cotabato, HPG personnel and local police arrested a 35-year-old woman in Purok Guava, Singao Road, Barangay Poblacion at around 12:45 pm.

Authorities said she was arrested based on warrants for falsification of public documents under the Revised Penal Code. The warrants were issued by the Municipal Trial Court in Kidapawan City, with bail set at P36,000 for each case.

In Davao del Norte, a 44-year-old man from Carmen town was apprehended during a joint checkpoint operation in Purok 1, Quarry, Barangay Maniki in Kapalong at around 3:20 pm.

Police said the man was initially flagged for driving a motorcycle without a helmet and attached plate number. Further verification showed that the black Honda RS125 motorcycle had been reported missing before the Tagum City Police Station on March 16, 2025.

Authorities also recovered a 12-inch kitchen knife from the suspect. He is facing a case for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 10883, or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.

In Lipa City, Batangas, PNP-HPG operatives and police units arrested a 32-year-old woman at Quezon Residences in Barangay Quezon at around 3:30 pm.

The suspect was arrested based on a warrant for estafa issued by the Municipal Trial Court Branch 1 in San Pedro City, Laguna, with recommended bail set at P30,000.

Investigators said the woman was allegedly involved in “labas-casa” and assumed balance schemes involving motor vehicles in the National Capital Region and Calabarzon.

The arrested individuals are now under the custody of the concerned operating units for documentation and proper disposition pending turnover to the issuing courts and the filing of appropriate charges.

PNP-HPG Director Police Brig. Gen. Rommel Batangan said the operations showed the group’s intensified campaign against wanted persons and criminal activities involving motor vehicles.

“The PNP-HPG remains relentless in tracking down wanted persons and sustaining operations against criminal elements involved in fraud, carnapping, and other unlawful activities,” Batangan said.

The PNP-HPG urged the public to continue reporting suspicious activities and information on wanted persons to authorities.
