PNP Cybercops Arrest 43 in Mid-year Crackdown on Online Crime

The Philippine National Police–Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) arrested 43 individuals and referred 95 cybercrime cases for prosecution in the first half of June 2026, as authorities stepped up operations against online fraud, illegal access, and other digital offenses.

From June 1 to 15, the unit conducted a series of entrapment operations and warrant services that led to the arrests, alongside six convictions in separate cybercrime cases, according to police data.

Authorities also implemented 57 Warrants to Disclose Computer Data and three Warrants to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data as part of ongoing investigations targeting cyber-enabled criminal activity.

In the same period, cyber operatives carried out more than 1,100 cyber patrolling operations, conducted 23 digital forensic examinations, and rescued 10 victims of cyber-related crimes, including online scams and digital exploitation cases.

The PNP said the intensified operations reflect its focus on strengthening law enforcement capabilities in the digital space as online threats continue to evolve alongside technology.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said cybercrime prevention requires both sustained enforcement and public vigilance.

“As technology continues to advance, we will further strengthen our capability against crimes using digital platforms,” Nartatez said. He urged the public to remain cautious and responsible in online activities to avoid falling victim to scams and other cyber offenses.

Authorities said the campaign forms part of broader efforts under the PNP’s operational agenda to enhance law enforcement efficiency and ensure safer online and offline environments for the public.

The PNP-ACG said it will continue its intensified cyber patrols, forensic investigations, and coordinated operations with other agencies as part of its ongoing nationwide crackdown on cybercrime.
