The Philippine Navy welcomed Indonesian Navy officials for a bilateral cooperation meeting aimed at strengthening maritime security partnership and coordination between the two countries’ naval forces.

Philippine Navy Flag Officer in Command Vice Admiral Jose Ma Ambrosio Q. Ezpeleta PN received Rear Admiral Yayan Sofiyan, Assistant to the Chief of the Indonesian Navy for Operations, during a courtesy call at the Navy Headquarters in Naval Station Jose Andrada, Manila, on July 15, 2026.

The visit was held as part of the 17th Philippine Navy–Indonesian Navy Navy-to-Navy Cooperation Meeting, which took place from July 14 to 17, 2026, in Manila.

During the engagement, both sides discussed areas of mutual interest, including naval operations, education and training, and logistics cooperation. They also explored possible future activities to further enhance collaboration between the two maritime forces.
