The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) showcased Filipino culture and hospitality during the Rim of the Pacific Exercise 2026 in Hawaii, using the multinational maritime event to strengthen ties with partner nations beyond formal sea operations.
The PCG hosted a luncheon on June 26 for representatives of participating countries, exercise organizers, and distinguished guests as part of its engagement during RIMPAC, one of the world’s largest international maritime exercises.
Guests were treated to traditional Filipino cuisine and cultural performances, including Tinikling, La Jota, Igorot Dance, and a performance of “Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas.”
The activity served as a venue for informal exchanges among maritime partners, helping foster camaraderie, mutual understanding, and stronger professional relationships among participating nations.
The PCG said the event reflected how maritime cooperation extends beyond joint exercises and operational engagements, emphasizing the role of people-to-people connections in building trust and long-term partnerships.
Through its participation in RIMPAC 2026, the Coast Guard continues to deepen its engagement with international partners while promoting Filipino identity on the global stage.
