The Philippine National Police (PNP) seized more than 2.5 kilograms of suspected shabu worth over P17.1 million and arrested 11 individuals following a series of anti-illegal drug operations across Western Visayas within a 24-hour period.

Authorities said the largest operation was carried out by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6, which resulted in the arrest of three high-value targets and the recovery of around 2,055 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately P13.97 million.

In Iloilo, provincial police units conducted three separate operations that led to the arrest of seven suspects—two identified as high-value individuals and five classified as street-level targets. Confiscated from them were about 465 grams of suspected shabu worth P3.16 million, along with drug paraphernalia and marked money.

In Capiz, a separate operation resulted in the arrest of one street-level suspect and the seizure of approximately one gram of suspected shabu valued at P6,800.

All suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and are facing charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. praised the operating units, saying the coordinated operations reflect the continuing strength of the government’s anti-drug campaign. He also urged the public to support law enforcement efforts by reporting suspicious activities in their communities.

The police leadership said the operations are part of intensified efforts under the PNP’s focused operational agenda, using intelligence-driven enforcement to curb illegal drug activity and enhance community safety.
