For more than a decade, Over October has built its name on songs about growing up, falling in love, finding oneself, and holding on to memories that refuse to fade. On October 4, 2026, the Filipino alternative pop band will return to the stage for what may be its most emotionally significant performance yet, not just as a celebration of its journey, but as a farewell to a chapter that shaped the group’s identity.
Titled “Over October Live at the New Frontier Theater,” the concert marks the band’s biggest headlining show to date and will serve as the final official performance of its original five-member lineup, following the upcoming departure of drummer Janessa “Janae” Geronimo.

More than a milestone concert, the event represents a rare moment for a band to look directly at change: acknowledging what is ending while embracing what comes next.
“We’re all, for the most part, excited for both Over October’s and Janessa’s respective new chapters. But of course, we also feel that a good thing is about to come to an end,” the band shared.
Geronimo’s exit arrives after 12 years of shared experiences, creative risks, and countless performances that transformed Over October from a promising young act into one of the Philippines’ most recognized alternative pop groups.
For the members, the transition is not simply about replacing a bandmate. It is about redefining a creative partnership built over years.
“When the dread of Janessa’s departure and the nerves about how the band will move forward become too overwhelming, we just try to remind ourselves that our working relationships might come to an end soon, but our friendship will always be there,” the group said.
The band admitted that the road ahead remains uncertain, particularly as they continue to discover what Over October will sound and feel like in its next era.
“Creatively, there will be adjustments and changes, but honestly, we’re still feeling it out,” they said. “What we can confidently say is that we’re still focused on giving the best shows these coming months and in the concert.”
Over October’s rise has been defined not only by numbers but by connection.
The band’s catalog—filled with introspective lyrics and melodic arrangements—has found a dedicated audience among listeners who have grown alongside their music. Their songs have become companions through different stages of life, from quiet personal moments to major turning points.
Their upcoming New Frontier Theater show follows a series of career milestones, including two sold-out performances at the Music Museum and their successful 2025 anniversary concert at the MOA Sky.

Yet for the band, success has never been measured solely through streams, chart positions, or sold-out venues.
“There are so many points of our career that we can say are defining moments,” Over October said. “We can look at the hits, the streams, and the shows—all of which we are proud of. But we consider the memories we collected along the way just as important as all our achievements are.”
That perspective defines the spirit of the upcoming concert: a retrospective of the friendships, struggles, and creative discoveries that have carried the band through its first 12 years.
Rather than simply presenting a farewell, Over October intends to document an era.
Band transitions often carry uncertainty. For groups that have spent years developing a shared identity, change can challenge the very foundation of how they create music.
But Over October’s story has always been rooted in evolution.
The upcoming concert is expected to revisit the songs and moments that shaped the group while offering fans a final opportunity to witness the original lineup together on a major stage.
It is also a reminder that bands are not only defined by their future releases but by the communities and memories they leave behind.
As Over October prepares to move into unfamiliar territory, the New Frontier Theater stage will become more than a concert venue. It will serve as a meeting point between the band’s past and its uncertain but promising future.
