No ICC Warrant Received Against Sen. Bong Go, Two Former Police Officials—PNP

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday clarified that it has not received any official communication or documentation regarding alleged arrest warrants reportedly issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go and two former police officials.

PNP spokesperson Col. Allen Rae Co said the police organization will act only on orders transmitted through proper legal and recognized channels.

“The Philippine National Police has not received any official communication or documentation regarding the alleged issuance of ICC warrants,” Co said in a statement.

The clarification follows claims by Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte, who cited a “highly reliable source” in alleging that warrants had been issued.

Co stressed that the PNP remains bound by due process and institutional protocols, adding that any enforcement action would require verified legal documentation from competent authorities.

“If any warrant is issued and transmitted through proper legal processes, the PNP will carry it out in accordance with established procedures. We will not get ahead of the process, but we will never shy away from our duty,” he said.

The PNP reiterated that it remains an institution guided by the rule of law, underscoring that it cannot act on unverified reports without official legal basis.
