President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. regained majority trust and performance ratings in the first quarter of 2026, according to a survey released Monday by OCTA Research.
The poll, conducted from March 19 to 25, 2026 under its Tugon ng Masa survey, found that 54 percent of Filipinos expressed trust in Marcos, up from 48 percent in the fourth quarter of 2025. His performance approval rating also rose to 55 percent from 51 percent.
Meanwhile, distrust dipped slightly to 30 percent from 31 percent, while undecided respondents fell to 16 percent from 20 percent.
Filipinos’ satisfaction with the President’s performance also saw marginal improvement. Dissatisfaction eased to 26 percent from 27 percent, while undecided responses declined to 19 percent from 22 percent.
The survey polled 1,200 adult respondents nationwide and had a margin of error of ±3 percentage points.
