  • June 21, 2026

Two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Makati City Police Station in Barangay Tejeros in the early hours of June 18.

Police said operatives initially transacted with one of the suspects for a vacuum-sealed pack of suspected marijuana, locally known as “kush,” before effecting the arrest.

Following the operation, authorities recovered additional suspected illegal drugs and paraphernalia from the suspects, including packs of marijuana, vape devices believed to contain marijuana resin or oil, a weighing scale, a mobile phone, and buy-bust money composed of genuine cash and boodle money.

Police estimated the seized illegal drugs at around 500 grams, with a standard value of approximately P750,000. The vape devices were valued at about P18,000, bringing the total estimated value of confiscated items to P768,000.

The suspects will face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.

Makati City Police Chief PCOL Pedro A. Alagano Jr. commended the operating team, saying the operation is part of the continuing campaign against illegal drugs and criminality.

Police also urged the public to report suspicious activities to help maintain peace and order in the community.
