Makati Police Step Up Foot Patrols Along Kalayaan Avenue

Personnel of the Olympia Sub-Station in Makati City conducted a foot patrol along Kalayaan Avenue in Barangay Singkamas on Sunday morning as part of the police station’s intensified anti-criminality campaign.

The patrol was carried out at about 8:48 am on May 24, 2026, by personnel of Sub-Station 1 Olympia Sub-Station, namely PCpl. Panaligan, Patrolman Jarah, Patrolman Isnadil, and BB Barboza, under the guidance and supervision of PMaj. Ronie Ric Alipio, commander of Sub-Station 1.

The activity formed part of continuing efforts to strengthen police visibility in key areas of Makati City, particularly in locations where regular public movement and community activity require sustained monitoring.

Police said the foot patrol was intended to help ensure public safety, maintain peace and order, and deter possible criminal activity through an active and visible law enforcement presence on the ground.

By patrolling on foot, police personnel were able to closely observe the situation in the area, monitor the flow of people and vehicles, and provide immediate assistance when necessary. The presence of uniformed officers also served as a reassurance to residents, workers, and passersby along Kalayaan Avenue.

Authorities said continuous patrol operations remain an important component of the local anti-criminality drive, allowing police units to respond more effectively to public safety concerns and strengthen coordination with the community.

The Olympia Sub-Station said similar visibility and monitoring activities will continue in strategic areas under its jurisdiction as part of the broader effort to preserve peace and order across Makati City.
