A listed most wanted person was arrested by Makati police during a warrant operation in Pasig City on Monday, May 25.
In a statement, the Makati City Police Station (CPS) said the suspect, identified only by the alias “Julius,” was apprehended at around 5:55 pm in Barangay Manggahan, Pasig City.
According to police, operatives of the Makati Police Intelligence Section, led by Police Maj. Welken Noblejas under the direct supervision of Police Col. Pedro Alagano Jr., chief of police of Makati CPS, carried out the operation.
The arrest was made through the enforcement of two separate warrants of arrest for syndicated illegal recruitment under Section 6 of Republic Act 8042, as amended. The cases were docketed under Criminal Case No. R-PSY-26-00874-CR.
Police said the warrants were issued on March 27, 2026 by Judge Divina Gracia Lopez Peliño, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 231 in Pasay City. No bail was recommended for the syndicated illegal recruitment case.
The suspect was also wanted for two counts of estafa under Criminal Case Nos. M-PSY-26-01737 to 01738-CR. The warrants for these cases were issued on March 31, 2026 by Judge Jose Janello Covarrubias, presiding judge of the Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 47 in Pasay City.
Each estafa case carried a recommended bail of P18,000, according to police.
Authorities said two alternative recording devices were used during the operation in compliance with the rules on the use of body-worn cameras in the execution of warrants under A.M. No. 21-06-08-SC.
Following his arrest, the suspect was informed of the nature of his arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine.
Police said the suspect is now detained at the custodial facility of the Makati City Police Station while awaiting the issuance of a commitment order from the court of origin.
