The Makati City Police Station (Makati City Police Station), in coordination with the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP Aviation Security Group), arrested a most wanted person facing an estafa case during an operation at the NAIA Terminal 3 arrival area in Pasay City on the evening of June 17.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Richard,” was apprehended by operatives from the Makati Police Guadalupe Nuevo Sub-Station and the Aviation Security Group, pursuant to a warrant of arrest for estafa under Article 315, Paragraph 2(d) of the Revised Penal Code.
The warrant was issued on May 6, 2026, by the Regional Trial Court Branch 231 in Pasay City, with no recommended bail.
According to Makati police, the operation was conducted in coordination with airport security personnel and utilized alternative recording devices in compliance with Supreme Court rules on body-worn cameras.
Following his arrest, the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and placed under the custody of the Makati City Police Station pending legal proceedings.
Makati Chief of Police PCOL Pedro A. Alagano Jr. commended the operating teams and reiterated the station’s commitment to intensifying manhunt operations to ensure that wanted individuals are brought before the courts and communities remain safe.
