The number of victims in the landslide that buried three houses in Riverside, Guisad Sur, Baguio City, on Sunday, August 9, 2026, has risen to 13, authorities said Monday.
In a report to Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Baguio City Police Director Col. Ruel Tagel said that seven of the 13 individuals had been extracted from the site as of 5:35 a.m. on August 10.
Of those retrieved, three were rescued alive and brought to a hospital for medical observation, a 27-year-old male, a 27-year-old female and a 77-year-old pastor.
Four others were declared dead, identified as a 17-year-old female student, a nine-year-old male student, a nine-year-old female student, and a 56-year-old male.
Six individuals remain unaccounted for, including children aged three and eight. Responders continue Search, Rescue and Retrieval (SRR) operations at the landslide site amid intermittent rains.
