The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) has secured a new permit from the Quezon City government to continue its protest on Thursday, July 2, marking the third straight day of demonstrations by the religious group.
Based on the permit issued by the city government, the rally will take place along White Plains Avenue and Temple Drive, where INC members have been gathering in support of Senator Rodante Marcoleta.
The latest permit was granted following the second day of the protest on Wednesday, which drew thousands of participants and triggered heavy traffic congestion along parts of EDSA and nearby roads.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD), meanwhile, said it would continue to maintain security and public order at the rally site while assisting the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) in managing traffic in affected areas.
