Daniel Padilla could be the next face of the Bad Boy franchise as plans for a fourth installment begin to take shape.
Rommel Padilla confirmed that Daniel is being considered to star in Bad Boy 4, with Kaila Estrada also being eyed as his leading lady. The revelation came during the screening of Bad Boy 3, where Robin Padilla was asked whether he still wanted to be identified with the “bad boy” image now that he is in politics.
Robin hinted that it may be time to pass the title to a younger actor.

“Ipapamana ko na po ito sa Bad Boy 4, sa mas batang artista. Iintroduce na po natin,” Robin said.
When asked if he was referring to Daniel, Rommel said the project is already being developed.
“In the works. Syempre dahil nanggaling doon sa pinanggalingan din ay kailangan doon sa kagalingan din ibibigay,” Rommel said.
Rommel also appeared to confirm Kaila’s possible involvement in the film when asked if she would be paired with Daniel.
“Aba syempre. Naman. Para naman makita na magkasama silang dalawa sa Bad Boy 4,” he said.
The possible team-up is expected to spark interest among fans, especially as Daniel and Kaila continue to be linked to each other. The two were also previously associated with the action-drama series Incognito.
The first Bad Boy film was released in 1990 and became one of the projects that helped shape Robin’s tough-guy image in Philippine cinema. A sequel followed in 1992, while Bad Boy 3 brings the franchise back after more than 30 years.
Should Bad Boy 4 push through, the film would serve as a new chapter for the franchise, this time with Daniel potentially carrying the Padilla family’s action legacy to a younger generation.
