More than 1,500 personnel of the Eastern Police District (EPD) will be deployed to secure five public cemeteries, five columbaria, and nine private cemeteries across Eastern Metro Manila from October 30 to November 2 for Undas 2026.
EPD Director Police Brig. Gen. Roman Arugay said the deployment aims to ensure public safety, security, and order as people visit cemeteries and memorial sites to remember their departed loved ones.
Around 350 personnel from police stations in Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, and San Juan, as well as the District Headquarters and District Mobile Force Battalion, will serve as the Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF).
Additional police personnel will also be deployed to deter and suppress criminal activities in major convergence areas across the district.
Arugay said the EPD will be supported by 2,000 force multipliers from various government agencies to assist in traffic management, crowd control, and public assistance.
The district will also establish Public Assistance Desks and intensify police visibility and foot patrols to provide assistance to the public and maintain peace and order throughout the Undas period.
These measures form part of the EPD’s efforts to ensure its Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman and provide a safe and orderly environment for cemetery visitors.
