The Department of Energy has begun preparations with the Energy Council for two upcoming events that aim to highlight investment opportunities in the Philippine energy sector.
In a statement, the DOE said Undersecretary Alessandro O. Sales met with a representative of the Energy Council in a preparatory meeting for the Energy Council Manila event and the ASEAN Energy Business Forum.
The meeting focused on coordinating plans and aligning activities for the two events, which are expected to bring together international investors and key industry stakeholders.
The DOE said discussions also centered on initiatives that will showcase the country’s energy investment potential and promote the Philippines as an attractive destination for energy investments.
According to the agency, the coordination is part of its continuing efforts to draw more investments, strengthen partnerships with local and international stakeholders, and support the development of a secure, reliable, and sustainable energy sector.
The DOE said the Energy Council Manila event and the AEBF will provide platforms to advance collaboration among government, investors, and industry players in support of the country’s long-term energy development goals.
