DOE Pushes Fuel Discounts for PUV, TNVS Drivers Amid Rising Oil Prices

The Department of Energy (DOE) is coordinating with local oil companies to sustain and expand fuel discount programs for public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers, transport network vehicle service (TNVS) operators, delivery riders and other motorists facing elevated pump prices.

The DOE said it is actively working with petroleum players to maintain existing discount schemes while broadening access to cover a wider base of transport workers who spend a significant portion of their daily earnings on fuel.

To help motorists locate available relief, the energy department regularly publishes updated lists of participating fuel stations, along with details on specific discount days, loyalty programs, and promotional offers. Motorists are encouraged to check these official releases to maximize savings at the pump.

According to the DOE, expanding these discount initiatives is crucial to mitigating the impact of international oil market volatility on domestic transport and daily consumer expenses.
