Love can be complicated enough between two people. Add the opinions of the outside world, and even the simplest feelings become something that needs defending.
Filipino R&B singer-songwriter DEMI explores that exact friction in her latest single, “Sinasabi Ng Iba,” a laid-back, soulful track about choosing a partner despite public scrutiny and judgment.
Beyond its romantic core, the release signals an artistic transition for DEMI, who balances her signature sultry sound with newfound emotional depth and maturity.

“I believe it’s the perfect blend of my old era and the direction I want to take moving forward,” DEMI shared. “The sultry, sensual sound that people have always come to expect from my music is still there, while the writing evolves into something more mature and wholesome.”
Though freshly released, “Sinasabi Ng Iba” traces back to 2023, when DEMI first penned its raw lyrics.
The track sat dormant until 2025, when she revisited the piece and enlisted producer and audio engineer Jianluigi “Plumberboi” Masongsong. Drawing stylistic inspiration from contemporary R&B artist Leon Thomas, the pair crafted a relaxed, intimate arrangement around DEMI’s original lyrical framework.
“The writing is still the same, raw, DEMI—but more emotionally mature,” she explained. “Syempre, I grow old, I mature—so gusto ko sabay lang din yung direction ng art ko.”
Public Scrutiny on Screen
Taking the concept a step further, the song’s official lyric visualizer skips traditional romantic tropes. Instead, the video places DEMI in front of a press corps, facing a barrage of media questioning—a visual metaphor for having to publicly justify one’s choice in love.
Released under Sony Music Entertainment, “Sinasabi Ng Iba” is now available across all major global digital streaming platforms, with its official lyric visualizer premiering on DEMI’s official YouTube channel.
