A total of 34 sacks of garbage were collected from Buhangin Creek along San Rafael Street in Barangay Plainview during a cleanup drive and clearing operation conducted by the Mandaluyong City government in partnership with barangay officials.
The activity forms part of the city’s continuing efforts to keep waterways free of waste and reduce the risk of flooding, particularly during the rainy season.
The local government, led by Mayor Menchie Abalos and Vice Mayor Anthony Suva, continues to encourage residents to practice proper waste disposal and help protect the environment.
City officials emphasized that maintaining clean waterways is essential to preventing floods, safeguarding lives and properties, and preserving the environment in pursuit of a safer, cleaner, and more progressive Mandaluyong.
