The local government of Pasay City led the destruction of illegal video karera and fruit game machines as part of the city government’s continuing campaign against unlawful gambling activities.
The machines were seized after authorities uncovered their operations, which allegedly encouraged Pasayeños to engage in illegal gambling. The city government said the destruction of the equipment was meant to send a firm warning against operators and individuals behind similar activities.

According to Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, illegal gambling machines such as video karera and fruit games not only violate the law but also expose residents, including vulnerable members of the community, to gambling-related risks.

The city government expressed hope that the move would help reduce the spread of similar illegal operations in Pasay and discourage others from setting up gambling machines in communities.
Rubiano’s office said the city will continue to support enforcement actions aimed at protecting residents and maintaining peace and order across the city.
