‘Bawat Bayan Makikinabang’ Aid Program Reaches 8,700 Barangays

Malacañang said the government’s “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” aid program has already reached 8,700 barangays nationwide since its launch in February, as the Marcos administration continues expanding direct assistance efforts across the country.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Monday the initiative forms part of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s push to bring government services and assistance closer to communities through food support, educational aid, and local development funding.

Since its rollout on February 23, 2026, the program has been implemented in several areas, including Eastern Visayas, Cagayan, and the Metro Manila cities of Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Pasay, Makati, and Manila.

During the program rollout in Makati City on Monday, Marcos led the distribution of P20,000 in financial assistance to 23 Bagong Pilipinas Barangay Scholars under the Socio-Civic Projects Fund Program.

The President also distributed 10 kilos of rice to beneficiaries under the expanded Local Government Support Fund, which aims to speed up the delivery of assistance to communities.

“Hindi natutulog, hindi nagbabakasyon ang pamahalaan, kundi nakikinig at umaaksyon,” Castro said, echoing the President’s message to beneficiaries.

Malacañang said another “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” event was scheduled later Monday in Mandaluyong City, where additional assistance was expected to be distributed to residents.
