The Philippine Army highlighted recent operational gains against communist terrorist group elements as the 3rd Infantry “Spearhead” Division marked its 52nd founding anniversary on May 1 in Capiz.

Army chief Antonio Nafarrete said the unit’s recent operations have dealt a setback to remaining insurgent elements, reflecting sustained efforts on the ground.

The anniversary rites were held at Camp Gen. Macario Peralta Jr. in Jamindan, where Nafarrete commended the division’s discipline and professionalism.

“I commend each of you for carrying out your duties with excellence, efficiency, and professionalism,” he said.

The celebration, themed “Matatag na Spearhead Division,” also recognized the support of civilian partners and stakeholders in sustaining troop readiness and welfare.

Nafarrete reaffirmed the Army’s support for the division, emphasizing the importance of preparedness, discipline, and continued engagement in maintaining peace and stability.
