Quezon City, TikTok, PCCI Launch MSME Digital Skills Training Program

The local government of Quezon City has partnered with TikTok and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) adapt to the growing demands of the digital economy through targeted skills training and online business support.

The initiative was launched under the “Unlad Lokal Roadshow Caravan,” spearheaded by the city’s Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office, which brought together more than 300 MSME owners and workers for hands-on learning sessions.

Participants received training on e-commerce operations, digital marketing strategies, and live selling—skills increasingly seen as essential for businesses shifting to online platforms.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said the program is designed to help entrepreneurs keep pace with changing business environments driven by technology.

“Part of the process is guiding our entrepreneurs through the changing landscape of doing business, especially with the availability of e-commerce and digital platforms,” Belmonte said. “Together, we will strive to ensure that you have opportunities to prosper.”

The sessions also included practical guidance on setting up and managing accounts on TikTok Shop, as well as instructions on affiliate marketing and maximizing platform features to boost product visibility and sales.

Through the partnership, the local government said it aims to further empower entrepreneurs by expanding their access to digital tools and improving their competitiveness in an increasingly online-driven marketplace.
