Toll Collection Starts May 5 on CAVITEX C5 Link Final Segment

Motorists using the CAVITEX C5 Link will soon begin paying toll fees as authorities formally approved the start of collection for its final segment, marking a key milestone in the completion of a major expressway connection between Cavite and Metro Manila.

The Toll Regulatory Board has authorized toll operations for Segment 3B of the CAVITEX C5 Link beginning May 5, 2026, following its initial opening to the public in March.

Since March 30, the new segment has been temporarily toll-free and has served an estimated 9,000 motorists daily, significantly easing travel between southern Metro Manila and Cavite. Officials said the link has reduced travel time between the Manila-Cavite Expressway and Taguig City from about 90 minutes to as little as 15 minutes.

Under the approved toll rates, motorists traveling between Taguig and Sucat Road (Dr. A. Santos Avenue) will pay P59 for Class 1 vehicles, P117 for Class 2, and P176 for Class 3, inclusive of Segment 3B charges.

For those traveling from Taguig directly to Roxas Boulevard or Zapote, toll fees will be P97 for Class 1, P194 for Class 2, and P291 for Class 3 vehicles.

The fully connected CAVITEX C5 Link now provides direct access to Ninoy Aquino International Airport and C-5 Road through key interchanges, including the R1 Expressway (Coastal Road), Sucat Road, and C.P. Garcia Avenue.

Beyond improving travel efficiency, the expressway is also expected to strengthen logistics connectivity between industrial zones in Cavite and business districts in Metro Manila, supporting economic activity in the region.

Transportation officials also said the new route offers an alternative corridor for heavy vehicles, helping ease congestion along major arterial roads in southern Metro Manila and Cavite.
