The House of Representatives will broadcast the proceedings of the Budget Amendments Review Subcommittee (BARSc) live, enabling the public to observe proposed changes to the upcoming national expenditure plan in real time.
House Secretary General Atty. Cheloy E. Velicaria-Garafil confirmed that the subcommittee’s sessions will be made accessible through online streaming to maintain public visibility and institutional accountability during the review process.
”As in the previous year, all official BARSc proceedings will be livestreamed to ensure transparency and public access,” Garafil stated.
Under the setup, modifications introduced to the spending plan will be displayed clearly during the broadcast as deliberations unfold.
”All amendments approved over the course of the deliberations will be shown line by line for the perusal of the public,” Garafil added.
House leadership expressed confidence that opening committee-level adjustments to direct public observation reinforces public trust and allows citizens, media, and civil society groups to closely monitor how public funds are allocated. Official streaming links and announcements will be distributed through the chamber’s verified channels as committee sessions commence.
