Fifteen alleged fixers were arrested during a series of entrapment operations conducted by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) at its Quezon City headquarters, marking a fresh escalation in the agency’s campaign against illegal transactions.

The operations, which began on Monday, August 11, were carried out under the direct order of LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao.

The LTO executed the arrests in coordination with the Quezon City Police District’s Kamuning Police Station 10, led by Station Commander Lt. Col. Aljun Belista, along with the Philippine Coast Guard.

Simultaneously, the LTO partnered with the Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety to conduct clearing operations around the agency’s compound, removing unauthorized sidewalk vendors suspected of offering illicit services or acting as conduits for fixers.

All 15 suspects were brought to Kamuning Police Station 10, where they face investigation and the filing of criminal charges.

Reiterating a strict zero-tolerance policy against corruption, the LTO emphasized that the crackdown aims to eliminate fraudulent schemes and ensure all public transactions remain transparent, legal, and efficient. The agency warned that enforcement operations will continue to intensify to protect the public from predatory practices.
