Marcos Declares Special Non-Working Days in Seven Localities

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared special non-working days in five municipalities and two cities to allow residents to participate in their respective founding anniversaries and local festivals.

Under Proclamation No. 1343, July 15, Wednesday, was declared a special non-working day in Calabanga, Camarines Sur, to celebrate the municipality’s founding anniversary.

Proclamation No. 1344 declared July 16, a special non-working day in Aguilar, Pangasinan, for its 221st founding anniversary. The same date was also declared a special non-working day in Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte, under Proclamation No. 1345 for the celebration of the Bakhaw Festival.

Meanwhile, Proclamation No. 1346 declared July 22, Wednesday, a special non-working day in Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte, to mark the 66th Araw ng Mutia.

July 25, Saturday, was declared a special non-working day in Santiago City, Isabela, under Proclamation No. 1347 to allow residents to celebrate Aggaw na Naturales Day.

Proclamation No. 1348 declared August 4, Tuesday, a special non-working day in Cabuyao City, Laguna, in observance of the city’s 14th cityhood anniversary.

In Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur, July 20 was declared a special non-working day under Proclamation No. 1349 to celebrate the municipality’s 77th founding anniversary.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” all seven proclamations stated.

Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto signed Proclamation Nos. 1343 to 1348 on July 9 and Proclamation No. 1349 on July 13 by authority of the President.
