All barangays in Marikina City received ₱200,000 each from the Office of the President’s Socio-Civic Projects Fund to finance scholarship programs and community development initiatives.
Mayor Marcy “Maan” Teodoro led the distribution of the financial assistance, which barangay governments may use for projects based on the specific needs of their communities.
The city government said the funding would help expand education programs, improve community-based services and support local development projects that directly benefit residents.
Teodoro thanked President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for extending additional assistance to the city.
She said the funds would give barangay governments more resources to implement programs and address the immediate needs of their constituents.
