The Marikina City Government conducted an inter-agency clearing operation as part of preparations for the expected effects of Typhoon Inday.

The operation was carried out in line with Mayor Maan Teodoro’s directive to strengthen disaster preparedness and ensure residents’ safety during the rainy season.

City personnel conducted tree trimming, garbage collection, and the removal of road obstructions and hanging hazards that could pose risks during strong winds and heavy rainfall.

The preventive measures aimed to keep roads, sidewalks, and public areas safe, clean, and accessible while reducing the risk of accidents and flooding.

The city government said the clearing operation forms part of Marikina’s continuing efforts to improve disaster readiness, protect communities from weather-related hazards, and maintain a safe, orderly, and resilient environment for residents throughout the rainy season.
