The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group arrested three wanted persons in separate intelligence-driven operations.
In a statement, the PNP-HPG said the operations were carried out by its Regional Highway Patrol Units as part of its continuing support for the administration of justice and the intensified campaign against criminality.
In Bacoor City, Cavite, a wanted person was arrested for violation of Republic Act No. 10883, or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
The warrant, docketed under Criminal Case No. B-2026-665, was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 114, Bacoor City, with a recommended bail of ₱300,000.00.
In Aringay, La Union, a manhunt operation led to the arrest of another wanted person for violation of Republic Act No. 11313, or the Safe Spaces Act covering gender-based sexual harassment.
The warrant was issued by the Municipal Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Aringay, La Union, with a recommended bail of ₱30,000.00.
In a separate operation in San Pablo City, Laguna, the Rank No. 4 Regional Most Wanted Person was arrested by virtue of a warrant for murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code, docketed under Criminal Case No. 37486-SP. The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 29, San Pablo City, Laguna, with no bail recommended.
The PNP-HPG said all arrested individuals were informed of the nature of their arrest and apprised of their constitutional rights in a language they understood.
