The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group arrested the Top 1 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level in Negros Occidental during a joint intelligence-driven operation in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
In a statement, the PNP-HPG said the operation was carried out through the Regional Highway Patrol Unit–Negros Island Region under COPLAN “MAJIMBO.”
The arrested individual was identified as a Target-Listed Most Wanted Person under RHPU-NIR Regional and was also listed as the Top 1 Provincial Most Wanted Person.
Authorities served the warrant issued in the Sixth Judicial Region, Silay City, Negros Occidental, under Criminal Case No. 16576-40, dated June 29, 2026. The court recommended bail of ₱300,000.00 for the temporary liberty of the accused.
The PNP-HPG said the arresting team used an Alternative Recording Device in compliance with OCA Circular No. 110-2021, PNP Memorandum Circular No. 2018-009, and Supreme Court A.M. No. 21-06-08-SC.
The accused was also informed of the nature of the arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights, including the Miranda Doctrine and Anti-Torture Warning, in a language he fully understood.
