Maynilad Water Services Inc. said it is cooperating with authorities investigating the accident at its project site in Barangay Pamplona Dos, Las Piñas City, where work has been suspended following the incident on Sunday afternoon.
In a statement issued June 29, Maynilad said it immediately activated emergency response protocols and coordinated with the Bureau of Fire Protection, barangay officials, and local disaster response authorities.
The company said retrieval operations were being carried out under the supervision of the BFP.
Maynilad said all work at the project site has been suspended pending the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The water concessionaire also expressed sympathy to the affected workers and their families. It said it is coordinating with its contractor to ensure that those affected receive the necessary assistance and support.
Maynilad said it would continue cooperating with concerned authorities but would refrain from providing further details while the investigation is ongoing.
