The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested four most wanted persons in separate law enforcement operations in the CALABARZON region on June 27 as part of its continuing campaign to serve court-issued warrants.

In San Pablo City, Laguna, police arrested a suspect facing 34 counts of estafa under separate criminal cases. The court recommended a total bail of P2.334 million. The suspect is now under police custody pending further court proceedings.

In Imus City, Cavite, authorities arrested another suspect wanted for 18 counts of qualified rape of a minor. The court set bail at P200,000 for each count, or a total of P3.6 million. Police said the suspect was turned over to the court of origin after the arrest.

In Lipa City, Batangas, police served a warrant against a suspect facing a charge of qualified rape of a minor, a non-bailable offense. The suspect is now under police custody.

Authorities also arrested a regional most wanted person identified by the alias “Pabs” in Rodriguez, Rizal. The suspect is facing one count of qualified statutory rape under a warrant issued without bail. Police said he remains under custody while awaiting the appropriate commitment order from the court.

The PNP said the operations form part of its Focused Agenda, particularly its Enhanced Managing Police Operations priority, which seeks to ensure that persons facing criminal charges are brought before the courts.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for carrying out the arrests with professionalism and adherence to legal procedures.

“Ang bawat warrant na naipatutupad nang maayos ay patunay ng ating patuloy na pagtatrabaho para sa kapayapaan at katarungan. Hindi tayo magsasawa sa paghahanap sa mga taong may pananagutan sa batas, ngunit sisiguraduhin nating ang bawat operasyon ay isinasagawa nang may integridad, paggalang sa karapatang pantao, at pagsunod sa due process,” Nartatez said.

The PNP said it will continue nationwide operations against wanted persons while upholding the rule of law and due process under its campaign for a “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”
