A total of 1,000 beneficiaries received food assistance under the Bayanihan Plus Community Food Support Program of the DigiPlus Foundation during a distribution event held at the Universidad de Manila.
The assistance was facilitated by the city government of Manila through the Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW), benefiting families and community members in need.
Among those who received food packs were 600 families affected by recent fire incidents and 400 members of tricycle operators and drivers associations (TODA) and community volunteers who assisted in the distribution of fuel subsidies.
City officials said the initiative highlights the continued partnership between the local government and the private sector in delivering timely aid to residents facing economic and social challenges.
According to the city government of Manila, the donation marks the second time that the DigiPlus Foundation has extended assistance to the city, reflecting a strong collaboration aimed at supporting vulnerable communities and providing immediate relief to Manila residents.
The Bayanihan Plus Community Food Support Program is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that essential assistance reaches those most in need, particularly families recovering from disasters and individuals contributing to community welfare initiatives.
