PMA Hosts BAGANI Fellows for Leadership and Nation-Building Exchange

The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) welcomed participants of the BAGANI Rising Leaders Development Program in a leadership and nation-building exchange held recently at Fort General Gregorio H. del Pilar in Baguio City.

The visit, coordinated with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), brought together 52 fellows from the BAGANI program, led by DAP Corporate Affairs Group Vice Chairman June Arvin Gudoy.

BAGANI is a leadership development initiative designed to train young public sector and community leaders, including representatives from national government agencies, local government units, the Sangguniang Kabataan, academic institutions, and youth organizations.

During the engagement, BAGANI Fellows interacted with selected PMA cadets in discussions focused on leadership formation, discipline, patriotism, and public service values. The exchange also included conversations on strategic leadership approaches, institutional development, and governance challenges.

The PMA said the activity provided the fellows with a closer view of its training system, which emphasizes discipline, integrity, and service as core components of military leadership development.

It also served as a platform for dialogue between military cadets and civilian youth leaders, highlighting shared responsibilities in nation-building and public service.

Officials said the visit reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between the PMA and institutions involved in leadership development, particularly in shaping future leaders equipped to address governance and societal challenges.

The academy added that such engagements support broader efforts to instill values of discipline, excellence, and civic responsibility among the country’s emerging leaders.
