Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Sharon Garin presented the agency’s strategies for sustaining the country’s energy security during the General Membership Meeting of the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) held at the Shangri-La The Fort in Taguig City.

During the forum, Garin outlined the Philippines’ current energy landscape and discussed ongoing efforts to strengthen fuel and power security, accelerate the deployment of renewable energy, improve grid resilience, and promote energy efficiency and conservation.

She also highlighted key policy directions and long-term initiatives aimed at building a more secure, resilient, and sustainable energy sector capable of supporting the country’s growing energy demands and development goals.

The event also served as a platform for dialogue between the DOE, business leaders, and industry stakeholders, underscoring the importance of energy security in driving economic growth, attracting investments, and advancing national development.
