President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. extended birthday greetings to United States President Donald Trump on Monday, wishing him continued health, happiness, and success as he marked his 80th birthday on June 14.
In a social media post, Marcos conveyed his message on behalf of the Filipino people, expressing hope for Trump’s well-being and acknowledging his leadership at a critical period for the United States.
Marcos also underscored the importance of the long-standing Philippines–United States alliance, saying he hopes the partnership between the two countries will continue to strengthen in the years ahead.
The two leaders last met in July last year in Washington, where they discussed defense cooperation under the Mutual Defense Treaty as well as economic matters, including trade and tariff concerns affecting Philippine exports.
