The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) arrested a wanted individual facing a qualified theft case during a joint law enforcement operation in Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat.
The suspect was apprehended by personnel of the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Highway Patrol Team through a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 156 in Marikina City on September 30, 2010. The court recommended bail of P48,000 for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
Authorities said the arrested individual was immediately brought to the Esperanza Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition prior to turnover to the issuing court.
PNP-HPG Director Police Brig. Gen. Rommel Batangan commended the operating units, citing the importance of coordinated enforcement operations in locating and arresting wanted persons.
He said the operation underscores the group’s continued commitment to uphold the rule of law and ensure that individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the courts through lawful and professional police action.
