More than 4,400 Bagong Pilipinas Presidential Scholars in Manila are set to receive financial assistance under the government’s Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF).

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the ceremonial turnover of the assistance during a meet-and-greet event with scholars at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila on June 3, 2026.

A total of 4,426 scholars from the city’s six districts will receive P20,000 each to help cover educational expenses and support their academic needs.

The assistance amounts to about P88.52 million in total funding for eligible scholars in Manila.

The government said the program forms part of its broader effort to expand access to education, support students facing financial challenges, and invest in youth development.

The Bagong Pilipinas Presidential Scholars Program seeks to recognize deserving students while encouraging them to pursue academic excellence, leadership, and community service.

During the event, Marcos reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to providing young Filipinos with more opportunities to continue their studies and contribute to nation-building.
