The Department of Health (DOH) declared a Code White alert to prepare for the arrival of Tropical Storm “Domeng.”
Under the alert status, all regional offices and Centers for Health Development (CHD) are tasked to place emergency teams on standby. prepare vital health commodities such as medicines, medical equipment, and hygiene kits for immediate deployment.
The DOH also ordered all regional offices to monitor their respective areas 24 hours a day to ensure that local health units can provide quick medical assistance to residents if the weather condition worsens.
According to state weather bureau PAGASA, Tropical Storm Domeng officially entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) early Friday morning, May 29, 2026.
As of 10 am today, TS Domeng was located 875 km east of Northern Luzon, packing winds of 100 kph with gusts up to 125 kph, while moving northwestward at 20 kph.
While forecasts showed that the storm is unlikely to make landfall anywhere in the Philippines, Domeng will enhance the southwesterly wind flow, which may bring heavy rains and thunderstorms over the western parts of the country beginning Sunday, May 31.
