The Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), and Intramuros Administration have launched “Pasyal Pamilya,” a heritage program offering overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families free guided tours inside Intramuros.

The weeklong program was launched in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to strengthen Filipinos’ appreciation of the country’s history and culture.

Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay said the initiative also forms part of the observance of National Migrant Workers’ Day, which is marked every June 7.

Under the program, OFWs and returning migrant workers may visit Intramuros with their loved ones and take part in guided heritage tours and other activities within the historic walled city at no cost.

The initiative aims to give migrant workers a meaningful way to reconnect with their families while rediscovering key sites tied to Philippine history.

“Pasyal Pamilya” will run until May 31 and is open to all OFWs and returning migrant workers.

Eligible participants may bring up to four family members. They may avail of free admission and guided tours by presenting a valid Overseas Employment Certificate or Overseas Workers Welfare Administration membership ID.
