34 International Airlines in NAIA Now Linked to BI Passenger Data System

Thirty-four international airlines operating at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are now connected to the Bureau of Immigration’s (BI) Advance Passenger Information (API) System, New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) said.

The system allows airlines to securely transmit passenger and flight-related data to border authorities ahead of arrivals and departures, helping speed up and strengthen immigration processing.

NNIC, the private operator of NAIA, said the integration marks another step toward faster and more secure passenger handling at the country’s main gateway.

Citing the latest updates from the BI, NNIC said 11 other airlines have yet to complete full Passenger API connectivity and begin regular data transmission.

The airport operator said full compliance with the BI requirement is needed to support advance passenger screening, improve processing at immigration counters, and expand the use of immigration e-gates at NAIA.

The e-gates were procured by NNIC as part of the airport’s modernization program.

The BI has ordered all remaining international airlines operating in the Philippines to complete their Passenger API system connectivity and start full and regular transmission of passenger data by June 30, 2026.

NNIC said full airline participation would help maximize automated border control systems, cut processing times, and improve the overall passenger experience.

It added that it will continue working with the BI, airlines, and other airport stakeholders to support faster, safer, and more efficient passenger processing at NAIA.
